Does gender affect decision making?

A very argumentative question, I guess. Well, if I had to answer this question, I would say definitely yes. Most of the females might be told that “you are overthinking”, “you are making assumptions” or even “where are these thoughts coming from?”. You guessed it right, even I hear that more often. But, don’t let these questions hinder your thought process. Studies say that “Females generally tend to connect the dots while making decisions”. Don’t the female readers agree on this? What in males’ “perspective” is overthinking, in females’ “perspective” is connecting the dots. It is necessary to make informed decisions and in order to do that it is very important to analyze the situations. Based on past experience and current knowledge, you understand the best way forward in the present scenario.

Let me give you a simple example, if a child touches a hot coffee mug and burns his fingers for the first time, he will think before touching the mug the second time. It is the basic psychology of a human being. Girls are naturally gifted to connect the dots and make decisions and hence they try to analyze the situation before coming to a conclusion. So, next time anyone uses any of the above phrases explain them this.
